Style Watch: Issey Miyake S/S 2011

Inspired by the trout, Dai Fujiwara presented a scattered but refreshingly playful collection at Paris fashion week. Finding a new meaning for wearable art, the colors, textures and deconstructed patterns are reminiscent of scales and illusions of watery movement. Though, the pointed hooded coats at the end worry me...

Style Eye-con: Galliano

Ladies and gentlemen, the world is officially a more fabulous place. Looking like he escaped Wonderland, John Galliano was presented the Légion d'honneur by French president Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris. Admired by onlookers and peers including Kate Moss and Manolo Blahnik, the French designer donned a short top hat, tailcoat, and braided pigtails. In the words of Beyonce, "I done got so sick and filthy with Benji's, I can't spend How you gone be talkin' shit? You act like I just got up in it. Been the number one diva in this game for a minute." Well said.

Style Watch: Liberty of London S/S 2011

Liberty of London presented ready-to-wear for men in Milan. The only standout look for me is the first one which ends up looking like a higher end Urban Outfitters mannequin. Thoughts?

Style Watch: Burberry Prorsum S/S 2011

In Milan fashion week, Burberry Prorsum was the truth. A flawlessly tailored vision by Christopher Bailey, I loved everything from the color palette to the belt embellishments to the over-sized bags. This truly was my favorite collection. Every gentleman needs a showpiece coat in their wardrobe, or 10, and Bailey's runway was overflowing with them. Flirting on the edge of costume, the looks achieve wearability while remaining one-of-a-kind. One of my favorite looks is one of the more simple: a sheer military short sleeve shirt styled with matching pants and pyramid studded belt. All eyes on brilliance manifested.
